Photo Shoot

A big day today as I am doing a photo shoot of my sample dresses on models. A bit of a wet start as there was a huge thunder storm last night and some local flooding but it soon cleared up for a much brighter afternoon. The final results can be seen throughout my website and in the galleries. Also using them on my Facebook page, Pinterest, Twitter etc.

The location is the lovely pub The Swan at Streatley, photography by the very talented Shannon of SLR Photography, flowers by Penny Blossoms, hair by Melissa Kassinen, make-up by Liz Tarrant and suits for the groom provided by Suits Newbury.

Lains Barn

Finishing off the year at Lains Barn with Guides For Brides

A beautiful selection of ivory and coloured wedding gowns including the new ivory chiffon gown from the fashion show.

Heythrop Park

The very impressive Heythrop Park is the location for todays wedding fair with Guides For Brides and today is a very big day as I am doing the fashion show on my own with 8 beautiful models and about 20 dresses. If you missed it this time then you can catch the fashion show again in February 2017 when I should have some new fabulous creations.

Todays new addition has a strapless, straight neckline, empireline bodice from ivory satin and pleated ivory chiffon. The panelled ivory satin and chiffon skirt joins the bodice with a ruched band under the bustline finished off with a crystal motif.

Manor Country House Hotel

The beautiful Manor Country House Hotel set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside was todays wedding fair venue with Guides For Brides.

I had a selection of ivory and coloured dresses on display.

I had three new additions today. Firstly a champagne satin and lace Mothers outfit with matching champagne satin jacket.

The second addition is an ivory satin sweetheart neckline gown with a delicate ivory sequinned lace bodice overlay. The ivory satin A-line skirt is pleated at the waist with a large train and satin covered buttons all the way down the back.

The final addition was a satin strapless, low backed, sweetheart neckline and kick train under dress with a lace overlay gathered at the waist with a crystal trim at the waist.

It was lovely to once again end the year where I began at Fallowfields Country House Hotel that held their own wedding fair event.

It was a winter wonderland theme so the perfect opportunity to get out my fabulous fur coat which was displayed in the reception. I then had three very different but stunning dresses on display in the bar area. It was a busy and lovely day.

Shillingford Bridge

This riverside based hotel was today’s venue for the Bridal Network wedding fair. I spread my dresses out over a large area on my acrylic stands filled with organza and fairy lights for true sparkle and to give each one space to shine. I had a bit of an ivory and aqua blue theme going on with the first outing for my new Mother outfit of a pale blue beaded lace top and blue/mauve shot chiffon long skirt.

A Guides For Brides wedding fair at this prestigious hotel. I spread my sample dresses out on acrylic stands to really show them off. Along with my fabric, designs and vintage sewing machine. New dresses on display today are the short chiffon ivory wedding dress and there was a pink theme with the new 1950’s style adult bridesmaid dress and a pink with ivory lace overlay young bridesmaid dress.

Hawkwell House Hotel, Oxford

Quite a busy and lively wedding fair organised by Ruby Weddings with a live band and lots of unusual suppliers. Today was very exciting as I gave a fashion show of some of my sample dresses. The first time on my own and all went well. Thank you to my lovely models.

Worton Park

This beautiful converted barn was an amazing venue for this wedding fair run by The Bridal Network. I used a few more acrylic stands to add height to the display and my new vintage Singer sewing machine joined the box of fabrics and framed designs to enforce the fact that I make dresses. It was a very impressive display.

Milton Hill House 2015

A very busy day  today at Milton Hill House wedding fair organised by Guides For Brides.

We had some new display ideas with a box of fabric, lace, ribbons and crystal trimmings spilling out.  I’d framed some designs, updated my scrapbook and we tried a new acrylic plinth with one of our dresses on.  I think it all worked very well.

The Beacon

A very exciting day today as not only did I have a display of wedding outfits but I also participated in a prom dress fashion show.

The dresses being modelled were Tiffany, Kay, Alexis, Rebecca and the Sally wedding dress.  I also added two new prom dresses a pink & lilac 1950’s style dress and a red velvet & tulle dress.  The girls looked amazing. Thank you to Guides For Brides for letting take part in this.
