The Wedding Dress design process begins with an initial consultation by appointment only at my home studio based in Abingdon Oxford and lasts approximately 2 hours.

During this friendly, personal consultation you can discuss your plans for your special day and any ideas you may have for your wedding dress from style, colour, fabric, and details of any design features which you would like to incorporate into your dream wedding dress. This consultation is free of charge with no obligation.

Every garment is individually made to measure and fitted to perfection. Detailed body measurements are taken in order to create a pattern for your dress. We will also discuss the choice of shoes and bridal lingerie as these can have an effect on how the wedding dress will fit and should be obtained as soon as possible to wear at subsequent fittings.

Making the Dress & Fittings

Measurements & Pattern Creation

A toile (mock up of the dress) will be made. This will be used to refine the design and fit of the wedding dress.
The toile will require a number of fittings, the amount depending on the complexity of the bespoke design.  Adjustments are made after each session and examples of any embellishments will be tried out and finalised during this process

Once the design and fit of the toile has been  perfected it is time to choose the fabric you would like to have your wedding dress made from.  I have a vast selection of satin, silk, mikado, lace and even eco fabrics for you to choose from. There will be something to suit all tastes and I will be there to help guide you through.

At this stage your next instalment for the cost of the fabric will be due and once this is paid and the fabric ordered I can then continue the process of making your gorgeous wedding dress.

A few more fittings will be required to finalise your garment. When your wedding dress is complete and ready for collection you will be invited to attend a final try-on session at my studio in Abingdon Oxford with shoes and underwear. Completion is normally 2-4 weeks in advance of your wedding. I include a free garment cover for you to take the wedding outfit away in.
